Sacramento Chesterton Society Meeting (Click for details)

February 11 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The next meeting will be at St. Stephen’s after the 6:00 pm Mass (about 7:00 pm) on Tuesday, February 11 in classroom 2.
In last month’s readings we had the account of the War for Notting Hill in which Adam Wayne and his army are victorious. This month we will see what were the future political consequences of that victory. Provost Wayne made an admirable defense for Localism (another name for Distributism) in his defense of Notting Hill, but will success spoil Adam Wayne?
That will conclude our reading of The Napoleon of Notting Hill. Next month we will start reading The Outline of Sanity, a collection of Chesterton’s essays on Distribution from his periodical GK’s Weekly. There are several copies available in the bookstore.
The Napoleon of Notting Hill has been a lot of fun and it has provoked a lot of good discussions. I expect nothing less next Tuesday. It will almost be a shame to finish it.
