DAY OF REPARATION. In 2022, Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court. This landmark decision has brought a new moment in the efforts to foster a culture of life and dignity. Proponents of a throw-away society persist in closing their minds and hearts to imagining a world without abortion. In California, voters passed Prop 1, which has embedded the practice of abortion in the State Constitution. Abortion is still legal, without limitation and now may be expanded because of Prop 1. Recognizing the tragedy of legalized abortion still gripping our state, I have designated Jan 20th as a Day of Reparation. – Bishop Jaime Soto
