The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is Fri, Dec 8. This is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass times will be: 7 am, 8:30am, 12 pm (Solemn), and 6 pm.
The Rorate Mass will be this Sat, Dec 9, at 6:30 am.
This beautiful Mass is scheduled at our parish for every second Saturday of December; it is a candlelit Mass in honor of Our Lady, taking its name from the first words of the Introit, from Isaiah 45:8 – “Rorate caeli désuper et nubes pluant justum: Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just.”
There is a long history of the Rorate Mass going back at least as far as the early Middle Ages. At times and in certain regions it was said every day in the week before Christmas, or even for nine days as a novena in expectation of the Messiah, and commemorating the nine months of Our Lady’s pregnancy. It draws most of its propers from the Ember Wednesday Mass of Advent, but also from the Fourth Sunday of Advent as well as the Feast of the Annunciation. At times has been called the Missa Aurea (the Golden Mass; on account of many promises that were attached to it) or the Missa Angelica (the Angelic Mass; on account of the Archangel Gabriel announcing the Incarnation at the Gospel of the Mass).

Christmas Party. Mark your calendars for Sat, Jan 6, 2023 at 5:00 pm! This fun-filled family event brings our parish family together to celebrate Christmastide. After a Chinese food buffet, many of the youth will be performing for us in a talent show. In past years, we have delighted in everything from musical and theatrical acts to stand-up comedy!
Tickets: Suggested donation is $10 per person or $25 per family. Available after all Sunday Masses, starting on Dec 3.
Auditions: Do you have a musical or unique talent that you would like to perform at this event? Auditions are now open through December (or until all time slots are filled) and usually close quickly! Contact information is below.
Volunteers: Last, but most importantly, we need many volunteers. I know many of you are generous with your time and energy, and we appreciate all that you do for our parish. There are many opportunities and positions that still need to be filled. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
