Announcements

Second Collection for the Building Fund.
Tax Letters are now available. They can be picked up in the conference room between the bookstore and the office after all daytime Masses.
OLSW Co-op Fundraiser. Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Co-Op will be having a food fundraiser today, Sun, Feb 4, from 8 am – 4 pm in classroom #1. Thank you for your support!
Knuckle Boom Lift. On Mon, Feb 5, we will have a rental knuckle boom lift in the church. This is in order to take measurements for the installation of violet curtains over the statues during Passiontide, as well as to take inventory of light bulbs and also install hardware to make Christmas decorations easier. Parishioners may need to navigate around the lift those two days while attending Mass. (This will be the first of two times this is done: this time, for measurements; the next time, for the installation of new hardware.)
Adult Catechism meets on Thurs, Feb 8, at 7 pm.
Youth Group meets on Fri, Feb 9, at 7 pm.
Pancake Breakfast. Sat, Feb 10, from 8 am until 12 pm, the Knights of Columbus and the Troops of St. George are coordinating to provide pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage (and coffee and other beverages). Proceeds will support the Troops of St. George and the St. Bernadete Fund. $10 for one person; $25 for a family; children under six eat for free.
Baby Bottle Drive. Sun, Feb 11, the Rosa Mystica Girls’ Society will be distributing baby bottles in the courtyard for the purpose of collecting alms throughout the Lenten season (coins, paper money, and checks accepted). This fundraiser supports the mission of the Sacramento Life Center, which is to offer compassion, support and free medical services to women and men in the greater Sacramento area facing unplanned or unsupported pregnancies. We will collect the bottles on Mar 17th.
SMCA Bake Sale. Sun, Feb 11, the Sancta Maria Classical Academy will host a bake sale fundraiser after all daytime Masses. Members of the Academy will be available to answer questions from interested parents.
Dr John Bergsma, author of popular works such as A Catholic Introduction to the Bible: The Old Testament and Jesus and the Dead Sea Scrolls, will be giving some Lenten conferences at St Joseph in Vacaville on Fri, Feb 16 and Sat, Feb 17. Further details: https://bit.ly/2024lent
The Marriage Workshop will conclude, Sat, Mar 9, at 1 pm. I anticipate that two hours will be sufficient, so plan on being there until 3 pm. As before, please bring your own lunch for a brief meal after the noon Mass; also, some of the young ladies in the parish have again graciously agreed to provide childcare at the classrooms.
Fr McWhirter will be away from the parish from Tues, Feb 6 until Fri, Feb 16.
