FINDING OF THE RELICS OF ST STEPHEN

The discovery of the relics of St Stephen was one of the most magnificent chapters in the history of the early Church. St. Augustine, who heard of and witnessed many miracles in the presence of these relics, was not able even to record all of them: “What am I to do? I am so pressed by the promise of finishing this work that I cannot record all the miracles I know.” Our patronal feast, which recalls the finding of these relics, falls this Wednesday, August 3. Please consider attending Mass in honor of our patron!

(NB. The afternoon Mass that will begin the Pig Roast on Saturday will a Mass of the Finding of the Relics, as well, by dispensation from our bishop, who extended that to us in light of our parish festival.)

ADULT CATECHISM

Please invite a family member, friend, or co-worker to our adult catechism classes, which begin soon! Our first class is on August 11 at 7 pm, in the parish hall. Anyone is welcome to attend, but those looking to receive Sacraments should register if possible. Forms and schedules are available in the parish bookstore, or you can have someone e-mail Fr Curtis at frcurtis@fssp.com.

PIG ROAST – CHILI COOK-OFF

This year, we are adding a new tradition to our Pig Roast, and we will be having our first Chili Cook-Off competition that will take place during the Pig Roast! There will be winning baskets for our 1st and 2nd place winners!
