CONGRATULATIONS!

Mr. Jacob Kasak, FSSP, our seminarian studying at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary, has been approved to advance to major orders. The subdiaconate will be conferred on February 11, 2023 (Our Lady of Lourdes). The diaconate will follow on March 25 (the Annunciation). Please join me in congratulating Mr. Kasak on persevering through six arduous years of seminary! He has one year left after this upcoming summer – keep him and all of our seminarians in your prayers.

EPIPHANY CHALK

Blessed chalk is available in the vestibule from the Feast of Epiphany. Upon returning home, the lintel of the main door of the house is marked with the blessed chalk by the head of the household in the following manner.

EPIPHANY PROCLAMATION

Know, dear brethren, that, as we have rejoiced at the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, so by leave of God’s mercy we announce to you also the joy of his Resurrection, who is our Savior.
On the twenty-second day of February will fall Ash Wednesday, and the beginning of the fast of the most sacred Lenten season.
On the ninth day of April you will celebrate with joy Easter Day, the Paschal feast of our Lord Jesus Christ.
On the eighteenth day of May will be the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ.
On the twenty-eighth day of May, the feast of Pentecost.
On the eleventh day of June, the feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.
On the third day of December, the First Sunday of the Advent of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom is honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
